Amsterdam is the capital and largest city of the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland in the west of the country. The city, which had a population of 747,290 on 1 January 2008, comprises the northern part of the Randstad, the 6th-largest metropolitan area in Europe, with a population of around 6.7 million. Any specific card game imposes restrictions on the number of players. The most significant dividing lines run between one-player games and two-player games, and between two-player games and multi-player games. Three card poker is a combination of poker and special hands. The player may bet on either one, both, and in different amounts. Both games are based on hands consisting of three cards. Play begins with a wager on ante. After the poker player views his three cards he may either raise by putting an equal bet on play or fold and lose the ante bet.
